I just dropped Hobo Jack off at the Vet to get neutered and declawed. I'm going to miss him til he comes home tomorrow, although after the huge gash he left in my nose last night with his razor sharp claws I'm glad that he won't be able to do that anymore.
I know there's the whole debate about whether you should declaw your cats or not. And obviously it doesn't bother me that much since all 3 of my cats are clawless (or at least will be by later this afternoon). I mean, I do feel bad about it - but they've all been so young when they had it done and the older 2 still think they have them! They are always trying to sharpen their invisiclaws on the couch or the chairs. And if it means that I can give a good home to some kitties and let them live very long and full lives with me then so be it.
So, YoYo and Nova will have a quiet and peaceful couple of days and then we'll have our little family back together with less scratching than before.

Meet the newest member of our family .... One of James' coworkers found him/her Saturday in the parking garage where we work! We have no idea if it is a boy or a girl and its back right leg or foot seems to be hurt. James is taking it to the vet this morning (they were closed yesterday) to have it checked out. I'll post more when I know!!! :)
UPDATE: Found out that the new kitty is definitely a boy! And that he's in pretty good shape for being a stray, he's started his vaccines and is having some tests run on his blood just to make sure he's alright. Yay!

Here's a good picture I just took of Nova this evening. He doesn't really like the thunderstorms so he sticks close by. I'm also posting this because I'm trying out posting to my blog directly from Flickr. I agree with Parks - technology is cool!
