I survived and it turned out great :) LASIK is totally awesome. The procedure wasn't very bad at all, and seemed to go by super fast. I didn't really feel anything - especially nothing painful. A little pressure here and there but it was only for a few seconds at a time. Yesterday was a little annoying after getting home. Your eyes feel scratchy, although they say that is normal. And I'll be living with several bottles of different eye drops for the next several weeks - but hey, its a small price to pay to not need glasses anymore.

I highly recommend this to anyone ... and if you are in the DFW area, Dr. Ranelle is the best!

I couldn't wait any longer ...

I just got back from the eye doctor and am scheduled to have LASIK this coming Friday! Hubby is doing so well from his that I went ahead and called to set mine up. I'm really excited :) No more glasses, woooo hoooo!

I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.

I just dropped Hobo Jack off at the Vet to get neutered and declawed. I'm going to miss him til he comes home tomorrow, although after the huge gash he left in my nose last night with his razor sharp claws I'm glad that he won't be able to do that anymore.

I know there's the whole debate about whether you should declaw your cats or not. And obviously it doesn't bother me that much since all 3 of my cats are clawless (or at least will be by later this afternoon). I mean, I do feel bad about it - but they've all been so young when they had it done and the older 2 still think they have them! They are always trying to sharpen their invisiclaws on the couch or the chairs. And if it means that I can give a good home to some kitties and let them live very long and full lives with me then so be it.

So, YoYo and Nova will have a quiet and peaceful couple of days and then we'll have our little family back together with less scratching than before.

Just got home a little bit ago from taking hubby to get IntraLasik on his eyeballs. Everything went really well, it was super fast - only about 25 minutes. He's sleeping now, they told him to for at least 3-4 hours. Apparently the eye heals faster when its closed. Who knew?!

However, now I want to go and have it done. Like now. I don't want to wait. I'm tired of wearing glasses and hate it when they fog up when you go from inside to outside. Sigh. But I do know this, since none of the kitties wear glasses, I'll be the next one in this house to get it done. So there.

I haven't had much to say lately, because I don't feel its right to blog about what's going on at work - and that is what is consuming my brain these days. Hopefully one day I can spill my guts here and talk about what's bothering me, but until then I'd like to just think happy thoughts. And one thing that gives me happy thoughts is going to this website every day and seeing the funny drawings this girl Natalie does. Many times they don't really make sense, except that they are silly. This one was from a week or so ago, and for some reason it made me giggle.
