This is what I was afraid of.
When I started a blog the thing I was most afraid of is that there would come a time where I had so many random thoughts in my brain that it becomes overwhelming to try and pick one thing to talk about. I realize this is an irrational thought, like it matters which one of these things in my head I talk about - just talk about something. I really need to get one of those digital voice recorders to speak my thoughts into so that later on when I get to the computer I won't think "uhm ... I know I thought about something to blog on this morning but I can't remember what it is now." So here I go :)
I learned to knit a few months ago. I LOVE it. I like it more than crocheting. I know that I will catch flak from some friends for saying that but they will have to deal! I've finished one sock of my first pair and cast on + done a few rows of the ribbing, however I was thinking about it today and I think I'm going to have to rip it out and start over because I cast on more stitches for the 2nd sock than the first and that will end up making lopsided socks. Which of course we can't have. Here's a picture of this pair ...
After that I started a 2nd pair which are turning out to be really cool. I'm not as far along with that pair yet but the color combo is awesome. I'm also using smaller needles and I like the size of the stitches better. Here is a close up of that one ...
I have also started a Doctor Who scarf for hubby! I'll show a picture of that when it gets a little further along. It's going to be really cool looking I think. I believe it will be about 12 feet long or so when it gets done. He's really excited about it. So yay!!!
On another note, I'm watching a very weird show on TLC right now called "Help! I'm a Hoarder" about people who are obsessive pack rats and can't help it. It's a compulsion for them. It's actually pretty sad, I feel bad for these people. One of the ladies is actually an interior designer and she spends her time reorganizing and decluttering other peoples homes and her home is a disaster area. There's another lady who is about to be evicted because her apartment has so much crap in it that is isn't up to fire code. Things to be thankful for. I'm glad I don't have that problem.
And now ... it's peanut butter jelly time! peanut butter jelly time! In other words .... dinner.
