TGIF!
Here is the last of Thursday and then Friday's shows ...
Thursday September 27th, continued:
Without A Trace - I must've slept through the final couple of episodes during the last season because on the whole "last season on without a trace" was not familiar at all. But I think I picked up the gist. I thought last season was getting a little slow, so this episode was surprisingly good to me. Although, the white celebrity couple adopting a baby from Africa to then have the kid's "father" come and want to claim him was a little bit too "ripped from the headlines" for my tastes. I love Vivian in this show, and of course Anthony LaPaglia is wonderful. I'm glad they moved it off of Sunday's because it was too hard to watch it with football and all that garbage. Back on Thursday's where it belongs.
Season Potential: Actually, I think this will be a good one.
Friday September 28th:
Moonlight - Oh my word this was cheesy. I might give it another week or two before I make my final decision, knowing that pilots have to relay a lot of information and all, but wow. Of course I am used to my vampires from the Buffy/Angel camp and to see this one and his vampire-ness differences it's gonna take some getting used to. The main guy is kinda cute, and the reporter girl is getting on my nerves already. Oh, and that Tami chick from the LA season of Real World about a jillion years ago is on this! The crazy one who wired her jaw shut to lose a few pounds. I can't believe she's an actress now. Or maybe I can. Sigh. Her character is pretty bitchy too. Big surprise there.
Season Potential: Jury's still out .... will have to see after a couple of more episodes.
Numb3rs - First impressions, Charlie needs a shave and a haircut in a bad way. I'm glad Megan is back, and that Larry is back. I'm glad that Charlie and Amita are together. Whoa, Val Kilmer guest starring! I really thought it was a good episode, lots of intrigue and a couple of good gunfights :). Sometimes I think they push the math too much in this show, and that some of it can be unrealistic - but I just remind myself that it is a TV show and not reality. I really like the interpersonal relationships so that is a good part to watch, and it has really been getting good lately.
Season Potential: I think it'll be a good one. Especially if they dial down the match just a tad.
There goes the last of the shows for this week. There are a few next week that I'll be watching and I'll try to post on those too :) Next week the shows I plan to watch are: Pushing Daisies, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Supernatural and the week after Woman's Murder Club. Although I won't be able to watch Supernatural for a while since I have 12 episodes from last season to go through first!
Now I guess we'll just have to wait and see what stays on and what gets canceled. Time will tell ...
