I Feel Whole Again
Finally, the night I've been waiting for all along arrived and it was wonderful.
.::SPOILER ALERT::.
I have tried to refrain from giving any spoilers during this week but I just can't abide by that for the Thursday shows. So if you haven't watched the shows from last night then read on at your own risk.
Thursday September 27th:
The Office - I laughed so much at this episode! It was one of the best, I know I say that for all of them but this was just wonderful. OK first of all ... Michael hit Meredith with his car!!!!!! I was dying, that was so funny! The look on his face was priceless. Then the whole Michael Scott's Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race For The Cure, really? Pro-Am? Celebrity? I am sitting here having a hard time typing this because there are so many thoughts racing through my brain. Andy's overly sensitive nipples and their chafing; Creed entering the 5K in the 'over 75' category; Michael thinking a 5K was 5,000 miles; Pam seeing Michael nekkid; Jan getting up in Pam's face about it!; Stanley in his Panama Jack hat; Kevin running in his work clothes; Michael Carbo-Loading 2 minutes before the run starts; Oscar, Stanley and Creed getting in a taxi; and going to a BAR!; Jim & Pam going to an estate sale in the middle of the run; Darryl feeding peanuts to a squirrel; Angela's medical routine with her cat - fungal infection at the base of her tail ... ewwwwwww; Dwight putting the cat in the freezer!; the head of a monkey, with the antlers of a reindeer with the body of a … porcupine, toby winning the race, realizing the finish line was actually 5K away from the office, Andy using Kevin as wind resistance, I could go on forever. And I haven't even mentioned Jim & Pam!!! I think the way they are handling them getting together is perfect. Not too in your face, they are trying to keep it on the down low. But Kevin "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" and PB&J - Pam Beesly & Jim. You gotta love Kevin. Hell, you gotta love this show. I am so glad it is back, the wait was excruciating but so worth it. Welcome back my friends.
Season Potential: #1 show on TV in my book, no question
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - This particular episode was a little different to me, as it didn't focus so much on the actual collection and processing of evidence. I mean, I know why and all, and they were showing us what happened to Sara along the way from her perspective. I think they really conveyed how much Grissom loves Sara even thought he doesn't show it in a conventional way. I was pleasantly surprised to see how Nick reacted, to be so desparate to find Sara since he was once in that same position. Lab dude (Hodgins?) still irks me, even thought they tried to make him seem more human this time. And Greg caught a case of the CSI: Miami's, you know, where they over-explain every minor detail like "Here are some footprints on the ground. Oh, well that must mean that the person we are looking for went off in this direction." Catherine and Warrick weren't big in this episode, which I'm OK about Catherine, she bugs the piss out of me, but I like Warrick so he could've been more involved and I'd've been happy. I really knew that Sara wasn't going to die, just wasn't sure how they would find her and when. I will miss the miniature killer, those scale models were so cool. All in all I think it was a really solid start to another good season.
Season Potential: I hope they explore the Grissom/Sara relationship more, and stay away from the really outlandish "Freak of the Week" stuff for the most part. Would be cool if Lady Heather made another appearance, and whatever happened to Warrick's wife?! I am looking forward to it all.
Grey's Anatomy - I was afraid this episode wouldn't be good. I needn't have worried. George came back, he's going to do his intern year over. It'll be hard but probably good for him. Burke is gone for good, Christina's going to have a time getting over that one even though she doesn't realize it yet. I loved seeing Alex admit he missed Rebecca (Eva), I hope he goes and finds her. Callie as Chief Resident, not the best choice as we all knew, but after the Chief explained to Miranda his reasoning it made sense. I can understand why Miranda was avoiding talking to the Chief, her pride was hurt, I'm glad he kept at her until he could speak his mind. Sloane seemed out of place in this episode to me. Really? Going to Derek and telling him that he wanted him back? That seems so out of character for Sloane. Derek and Meredith, what is up with these 2? That is yet to be seen I guess. I know that Meredith isn't ready to be in a full blown way serious relationship but that doesn't mean they can't be together. I hope they find a happy medium at some point. Izzy's group of interns thinking she was a dud was so funny - and then when she turned it back around on them, that was even funnier. The deer thing was a little dorky, but whatever. Meredith's sister is trying way to hard, but Meredith also needs to chill out about her, give her the benefit of the doubt. I think the fact that George is an intern again and the others are residents now has the potential of driving a wedge between them, I hope it doesn't. I was SO freaked out because my Tivo cut off right when Izzy answered the door at the end to find George standing on the other side. CUT OFF! STOPPED! I was furious. But then I remembered you could go watch full episodes at abc.com so I did and saw the last little bit where George tells Izzy he loves her too - which we all knew already, HELLO?! What will this mean? Who knows. But Callie isn't going to come out on the good end of it that's for sure.
Season Potential: Another great season on the way. Meredith needs to stop whining and get over herself and everything will go a lot smoother :)
Without A Trace - I didn't get to watch this last night! I wanted to, but I go to a knitting group on Thursday nights and I didn't get home until 9pm so I was already up til almost midnight watching the other 3. I will watch tonight and include it in my post tomorrow for the Friday night shows.
Stay tuned ... coming on Friday - Moonlight and Numb3rs
