Why I Love My Tivo

OK .. so I was sitting here only mildly paying attention to the TV while eating some tacos I made for dinner (very yummy btw) and this commercial came on. Five or six 40-ish year old men sitting around in a jam session playing guitars, drums, piano, etc singing a song to the tune of Viva Las Vegas. I wasn't really paying much attention - as I typically don't to commercials in general - until they got to the chorus .... and they sang Viva Viagra. Seriously. I sort of almost threw up a little bit in my mouth.

Do we really need that? I mean the old school ED commercials with Bob Dole weren't all that great, but at least they weren't cheesily embarrassing, to watch or for the actors involved. How would you feel if you were a 40-ish male actor trying to make it in the biz and this was the callback you got?! I think I might throw in the towel and try my hand at Alpaca farming.

Now, I don't want anyone to be deprived of such a marvel of theater, so here you go!

This definitely takes the cake. Even over the ones with the couple sitting in separate claw-footed bath tubs over looking a hilly countryside. WTH is that about. Yes, because in my multi-million dollar lifestyle, I have matching tubs set out for my spouse and I to lay in, with no water, and look out over our property.

bring back bob dole.

who were the ad assholes who came up with this?

Every time I see this commercial I am awed at how bad it is! And to make it worse, I think my brain "blanks out" that it is a Viagra commercial. So, I am constantly shocked when they get to the chorus...ugh!!!!

Guys...do you really need the money that much? Do voiceovers!!!
