I ordered a new laptop a few days ago and it needs to hurry up and get here! Patience is not my strong suit (hello understatement) and so I'm like those old Mervyn's commercials with the ladies standing outside the door before the store opens on the beginning day of the big sale, drumming their fingers on the glass of the doors chanting "Open. Open. Open." That's me. Except that I am doing it in the form of refreshing the FedEx tracking page for my laptop. Like that will make it arrive any faster. Shut up! I know it will, do not tell me it won't!
Of course it only makes things worse that the Mighty Mouse that I ordered to go along with my new MacBook has already arrived and is sitting there looking oh-so-sad and lonely just waiting for its new partner to arrive. Like it was sent ahead to scope out the new home to make sure it was going to be a loving environment. Well, it will definitely be that. I think I might even arrange a welcome home party for Macky when he arrives :) There will be streamers and balloons and cake and punch! It will be a grand affair, everyone will be talking about it for years to come. And they will all want to go and buy their own new MacBooks so that they can throw parties too. Ahhhh, what a wonderful thought.
Ok, its been about 2 minutes since I last refreshed the FedEx tracking page, so I better go do that now.
Update: The FedEx Gods must've been reading my blog because barely an hour after I posted this the doorbell rang and Macky was here!!!!! So, now I'm not interested in doing anything today other than getting him all set up and ready for his party. I love my Mac.
aghhh!! New electronics always send me into a tizzy! I have a compulsive problem about not being able to wait, so I just run out to the store and fulfill my need for instant gratification. Congrats on getting a Mac! I LOVE them beyond measure!

Mac is the only way to go. I'm glad I was able to influence you into purchasing the MacBook. And Mighty Mighty (which is what I call my mouse) is certainly a lovely addition.
Might I now suggest you PURCHASE A FREAKING iPHONE BECAUSE IT'S THE COOLEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

well i am usually an instant gratification person, and i did go to the apple store and try to get my laptop. however, i was upgrading the ram and the hard drive so they didn't carry them already made configured the way i wanted, sniff sniff. so - i had to wait. but now macky is here and i'm soooooooooo happy!
